Ruby Palomares, Associate Attorney

Ruby Palomares Ruby Palomares earned her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law with a Social Justice certificate. There, she served as a co-president of the National Lawyers Guild and revived the chapter’s presence while advocating for progressive lawyering. During her time in law school, Ms. Palomares had participated in the Katherine George Alexander Community Center’s Workers’ Rights and Immigration Clinics where she was able to help individuals with a wide variety of claims ranging from wage and hour issues, trafficking, and asylum. In her final year of law school, she was a clinical student with the Northern California Innocence Project, and assisted with exonerating those who have been wrongfully convicted, promoted meaningful policy changes to the state’s legislature, and educated others in the effects of wrongful convictions.

Prior to law school, Ms. Palomares attended UC Davis where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications. There, she volunteered her time at the Yolo County’s Public Defender’s office where she worked in the Record Mitigation team and expunged criminal records. It was here that she first developed a strong interest in helping individuals.

Ms. Palomares is an avid reader and enjoys baking treats for her friends and family. She also enjoys exploring new hiking trails with her dog, Teddy.
